Becoming Stronger

Do you have any experience finishing a hard workout and feeling as if your entire body just got stronger after it was completed? If so, congrats, you know what it’s like to kick your own ass. You can get stronger either physically, such as what I described, or mentally. Getting stronger within the physical aspect isn’t so hard but the mental part is. Fighting with yourself in your own mind can be quite the pain in the ass but it’s something you unfortunately have to deal with sometimes.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been working out at least 5-6 times a week. I’ve also been taking medication for my anxiety for over a month now. Those two combined has made my body and my mind be at ease. My anxiety made me get so god damn angry and I’m not gonna lie, I am still and always will be a hot head, but I can feel my worries slowly decreasing. I am obviously not “cured” or something of the sort but I am at least improving.


Regarding my exercise routine, I feel much stronger. I’m not ripped and not gonna lie, kinda wish I was, but that’s beside the point. I use my body weight for all of my exercises and it really kicks my ass. I force myself to hold my body up while doing planks and it has improved my arm strength. I honestly do any workout videos I want, sometimes I even dance as a workout. And no, it’s not anything slow, it’s me constantly moving with barley any breaks.

It took me a long time to get where I am currently, I had to sacrifice so much just to get to this point. I didn’t just get rid of unhealthy food and bad habits, I got rid of anything that didn’t benefit me in the long run. Getting my mind off things and focusing on my writing, my exercise routines, and my mental health made me feel incredible. I finally feel satisfied with my life.


I want to continue improving from here on out but I have a long way to go until I finally feel complete. Luckily, thanks to my medication and my daily routine, I feel totally fine. When you actually try to improve, you shall see the changes. You just have to take the first step in order to reach the end.

If you want to turn into a better version of yourself, you must actually try to turn things around. Get up and exercise, go talk to a therapist about your worries, join a group and make friends, do something.
